About UsThe Students Leaders Board (SLB) is a newly formed committee that was established in the year 2011. With members exclusively selected from the best that school has to offer, SLB is responsible for the planning, coordinating and implementing international and community-based programs for students in Dato’ Penggawa Timur Secondary School. In this regard, in fulfilling our international obligations we are organizing the inaugural Students Teachers Visit Program 2011 (STVP 2011) in efforts to help our friends to meet and exchange ideas, view, initiatives and goals on an international platform. |

Essentially, the theme of this Students Teachers Visit Program 2011 is ‘speak for success in the era of globalization’. Students today face multitude challenges as they try to understand and embrace the changes that are taking place across the globe. Indeed, they must respond to these challenges so they can effectively reach out to as many people as possible. Speaking out coherently and comprehensibly is exceedingly crucial to express thoughts, ideas and initiatives across a group of diverse people in order to achieve an aspiration or a goal. Understanding diversity requires student leaders to compare and contrast their culture with the customs, philosophies, beliefs, arts, languages as well as the ways of living of other people. Acknowledging diversity means accepting people as they are and understanding what makes them think the way they do. To this end, the Student Leaders Board of Dato’ Penggawa Timur Secondary School (batch 2011) takes this honour to extend a cordial invitation to any of any students age of 16-18 and English language teaching teacher that shows keen interest in participating in this very first activity organized by us. |
