Theme : “Speak for success in the era of globalization”
The rise in globalization now imposes upon students all over the world to begin expanding their vision and speak out for success. Indeed the word ‘globalization’ does not yet has a broadly shared or universally understood meaning. For some it denotes the integrated race and gender while for others it could mean ethnicity, culture and social. Nonetheless, what many seem to acknowledge is the fact that what it really means is “accepting all things that make us different”. To this end, student leaders today are instrumental in crafting a culture that not only embraces differences but also celebrates unique ideas, perspectives and experiences. Therefore, speaking out coherently and comprehensibly is exceedingly crucial to express thoughts, ideas and initiatives across a group of diverse people in order to achieve an aspiration or a goal
Essentially, the theme of this STVP has a particular focus on speaking out as well as globalization. It also revolves around the multi-faceted meaning of global diversity which at a more basic level would include diversity in culture, arts, languages, race, gender and ways of living. To this end, the organizer encourages students to speak out and express their thoughts that approach these topics from a variety of perspectives. However, presentations on other relevant topics are welcome and we also encourage sessions within and across a variety of disciplines and fields related to Speaking Out.
