Flying Into Malaysia..
Transportation to the Dato’ Penggawa Timur secondary school will be planned very precisely. Thus, if participants are going to land in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport(KLIA), then they will have to board another flight to the Sultan Ismail International Airport (SENAI) then there they will have to wait for the SLB members to warmly welcome them and bring them to the Dato’ Penggawa Timur secondary school.
Next, they( participants) also have another choice. It’s by boarding a flight to Singapore’s Changi Airport. We are only 30 mins away from Changi Airport (Johor Bahru is connected to Singapore by a 1.5 km causeway). There are immigration check points at both ends of the bridge but you need not get down from your taxi/vehicle and it’s very fast. Then, once landed participants will have to board a bus where the destination will be to the Larkin Bus Station in Johor. From there, the participants will be welcomed by our SLB members.Kindly please email the secretariat the full flight schedule and details once the flight is booked. This is to alleviate us in arranging the pick up for the participants.
Other than that, participants don’t have to worry a bit about the transportation once they have stepped their legs into Dato’ Penggawa Timur secondary school. From that moment they will be our responsibility so, they will be brought to the places we have to visit ( based on the schedule).
Accomodation..
Teachers and participants will be divided into separate groups. Teachers will stay in a hotel just near the Dato’ Penggawa Timur secondary school whereas the students can catch a wonderful chance by participating in a Homestay event where they will be staying in the house of the SLB members. Via this opportunity they can learn more about a Malaysian Asian’s life in a deeper scale. Not only their accommodation, but also their meals (dinner) will be taken care of. We are sure that the participants will be welcomed with open hands by our SLB members’ family. Besides, the students also allowed to correspond with their host family before the event. Allocation of the Homestay for student is based on the first come, first serve basis. So, what are you waiting for?? Download the registration form and submit to us now!!
